This past week on Mark Patterson Show our #itsyourdutytobefruity adventure continued when we invited listeners to call in and collect some of the Blackcurrant plants which we have grown this year from a few cuttings (some taken live on air with Mark) and others taken by Donegal ETB Horticultural Students, based in the Colgan Hall and Barrack Hill Community Garden. These cuttings were potted up mid June, and were now ideal for replanting into their final cropping position!
Our blackcurrant cuttings taken around early April are all nicely rooted and ready for potting up.
We potted these on into a perlite/compost mix, after dusting the roots in Mycorrhizal Fungii.
