A super easy plant to grow from seed is the Cornflower. Either direct sow into prepared soil or sow into small cells then either pot up or plant out, these were sown at the end of March and then potted up in mid April, and planted out in early May
Wee cornflower plants were just ready to be potted up, sown last September these have grown slowly in the unheated polytunnel. and now are ideal for potting up into pots from there wee cells. Wee dusted the roots with some Mycorrhizal Fungii and potted them on into a compost/perlite mix
in 6 weeks or so these will be a great size for us to start filling gaps beside shrubs and borders with ......all for a under £5!
