After a big feed of buns we covered: planting spuds in bags, making comfrey fertiliser, beetroot varieties, berlotti beans, pest control and more!!
Busy time of year with the garden birds, they're busy nesting and the dawn chorus is rightly on the go so we're keeping our peanuts, bird seed and fat balls topped up in Groarty Primary to offer as much support to them as possible. Last autumn the kids in St Therese Primary planted Daffodils by the hundred and now they're in flower they provide wonderful inspiration for class, like this in a P3 class today... Kids could relate to the subject matter as they have hundreds of living examples around the school .
Busy afternoon in Clooney Community Centre after schools club, today we planted pumpkin and sunflower pots, with a wee sowing of rocket worked in too

It was a torrential rain day today, so we put the paper potter to good use, making loads of pots and sowing them with pumpkins and sunflowers in St Therese Primary , Galliagh, Derry
