At our recent dander to Dunmore House in Carrigans I spotted some glorious Spiderwort growing alongside the path. The small flowers caught my eye, and I made a mental note to try to pick one of them up for my front garden.
Well I was delighted when I managed to pick one up in The Garden Centre in Strabane, pure coincidence as I was in collecting plants for my demo at the Strabane Jamm Festival.
I was delighted to get my hands on this Tradescantia x andersoniana Bilberry Ice, I spent a glorious Fathers Day morning doing some planting with Gracie (my 3 year old youngest), we've added this Spiderwort as an edging to an established rose garden, Head Gardener Andy from Dunmore House had advised me that they love rich soil, so the rose garden should suit them rightly...
