I saw some super gardens in Buncrana recently whilst judging the Buncrana Tidy Towns Garden Competition. Despite a number of weeks of solid rain the gardens are a fabulous credit to the dedication of their owners, as despite the afore mentioned rain the baskets and containers in the garden looks great and the flower beds and lawns were pictures of perfection....like every year I'm sworn to secrecy about who the winners may be...so enjoy the slideshow below showing some of the sights from a really enjoyable day!
I was delighted to bump into Joanne Butler from Ourganic Gardens on Thursday in Dobhar. Joanne is the facilitator in the Dobhar Community Garden, aswell as a number of projects in the North Donegal Area. John Ferry is a Solus Gweedore Level5 Horticulture student who is helping to develop the Tidy Towns strategy for Dobhar through his work placement in the Ionad Naomh Padraig Centre
