I have a slightly shaded area and thought this would be a good Clematis for this area, and it might please them all upstairs when it comes to dishing out the sunshine.
Clematis John Paul II is a large flowering type of Clematis, with these big blousy flowers in summer...I've it planted against an 8' high wire fence, and the fence extends over 60 feet in both directions so there's lots of space for it to meander and explore.
The normal planting for Clematis applies, planting deeper than the pot and at an angle.
We feed our Clematis with Bone Meal in the autumn and then in Spring with Rose Fertiliser, and liquid feed occasionally with Comfrey if needed.
As soon as I have my first flowers I'll post up some updated pics....
