There were always a few Pieris with darker flowers, but these, unlike Passion, were usually difficult to cultivate in the Nursery, and far less floriferous. For the gardener, this bush has the advantage that the flowers are held in raised clusters rather than loose and pendulous, which makes for a better display. As a result of these unique qualitites, the plant has received the Flora Holland Award for New Introductions. Supplied as bushy plants in approx 2 litre containers, for masses of flowers this year.
