attacking the clump
Nows a great time to lift and split many perennial plants in the garden, we've been doing just that with a massive clump of Red Hot Poker. First we dug up the plant, ensuring we got lots of young roots with it....a brutal job, but a job well worth doing to get lots more fresh plants, which can be replanted to give much more vigour and flowers in many cases.
