The lower garden in Oakfield Park has some 40,000 trees planted since the mid 90's, and the spindleberry is one of the native trees planted. Commonly found on Alkaline soil its not overly common in County Donegal or Derry, but thrives in the Raphoe area. Here are the fruits just ripening...a stunning bit of native colour.
