Strawberries are a real pain in the backside...turn your back on them and they grow everywhere, the runners appear overnight and start new plants off...and soon where there were 8 plants before you have a seen like this....strawberry plants everywhere!. Best way to tackle this is to lift them all, sort them and then replant the bigger ones...it took us 3 hours but we got the 2 original beds cleared, enriched and then a total of 7 beds replanted with the strawberry plants, and still have 2 wheelbarrow fulls of small runners to deal with...
