I'm pleased to announce that the next meeting of the all-ireland community garden network of ireland (see their website here) will be held in Derry/Londonderry on the 9th of March.
The meeting will take place in The Playtrail on 9th March from 12-2 and then a series of tours will be offered to participants in the aftenoon.
From 2-3 there will be a guided tour of the Leafair Community Garden and from 3-4 a tour of the Fountain Community Garden - these two gardens recently won a second place in the All-ireland Pride of Place awards (see here), followed by a tour of the playtrail facility.
During the playtrail meeting YouthAction NI will give a presentation on how best community gardens can engage with young people.
Anyone is invited to attend, as long as you have an interest in community gardening you're more than welcome to attend. This meeting is free to attend, and to allow for numbers please book your place with Dee by sending an email to [email protected]
