This past week We've been focussing on the wild birds commonly found around the garden, making little hand held puppets of all the different birds you'd commonly find in the garden, such as Blackbirds, Blue Tits, House Sparrows, Wagtails and the likes. We've also being researching what birds like to eat what...and the kids discovered that the bigger a range of food you put out, the bigger a range of birds you attract. We already feed mixed seed and peanuts but we decided to add high-energy 'fat cakes' to the feeding zone...the kids loved the one with the mealworms in it...yuk!!
