Learn to grow-your-own with our Horticulturist Gareth Austin & Donegal ETB
Donegal Dailys resident Horticulturist Gareth Austin will be commencing some in-depth Horticultural classes next week in the Donegal ETB Training Centre in Letterkenny.
These night classes will be focussed on growing Fruits, Vegetables , Salads and Herbs in all types of gardens (and bigger scales). The classes will be 2 nights per week from September to December and be held in the ETB Training Centre on the Ramelton Road in Letterkenny.
According to Gareth, “These classes are ideal for someone who’d like to develop their theoretical knowledge of growing Fruits & Vegetables and who’d like to expand on their practical skillset” , “At the end of these classes successful participants will receive a QQI Level 4 minor award in Horticulture for each of the 2 modules covered”.

“I’m asked regularly ‘Do you have any classes I can join?’ so this is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about managing soil health, using biological pest controls, managing weeds and so much more” Gareth adds, “The course is classroom based so there will be lots of learning for participants to take home and trial in their own gardens!”
