harvested the 3 white gooseberry plants in the garden at Cassa Austin....a bumper crop. kept most and gave 5kg to Ian Orr...he loves fresh seasonal stuff like this..to preserve them I just topped and tailed them, stewed them for half hour or so with a small but of water and put them into freezer bags for use another day.the fruit bushes are Gooseberry Invicta, and are 7 years planted now. now I never harvest all the fruits I always leave some behind for the birds...indeed this year I left 1 bush totally unharvested so the birds should have a field day with that.
ended up with 20 of these bags....all ready for using to make whatever witn over the next 12 months
