Sparaxis or the Harlequin Flower is a gorgeous early summer flowering bulb which can be planted in the Autumn or Spring (severe cold can damage the bulbs so if your in a cold spot leave then till spring before you set them outside, or plant them in pots and keep them sheltered for planting out in the spring). The colours are bright and varied and they flower at a night 1' height, making them ideal for pots, rockeries or at the front of shrub beds...
