Mad busy day on Saturday at the Todds Of Campsie Kia Family Fun day....I was on hand offering some seasonal Gardening Advice, highlighting some amazing plants available now in Knox's Garden Centre, detailing some Grow-your -own jobs such as planting Garlic, sowing wallflowers and the likes and promoting the Love Food Hate Waste agenda with a strong focus on growing soft fruits - Encouraging folks to grow perishable soft fruit such as Strawberries and Redcurrants and to help folks along we gave out well over a hundred Redcurrant plants to attendees on the day
Apologies for the lack of pictures...but I started at 11am and finished handing out the last bit of advice at 4pm.....I was packed all day....folks came and went all day, Ian did a number of different cookery inspiration sessions, there was prize drays, Foyle Search and Rescue had their wagons out...(with sirens going off all day lol!!)...there was face painters, charity BBQ, giant Jenga, the Connect 4, Disco, Bouncy Castles, the BroighterGold taste test, and me.....what a great day...Rumour has it Michael Todd cooked 150 burgers - he had 2 charcoal barbecues on the go all day...poor man!!!!!
