If you're new to Penstemons, rest assured they are very easy to grow. Now is the perfect time of year to plant them, and with our well established plants that are already coming in to flower you can enjoy them for the rest of summer, not just this year, but next year, and every year after that too as they are fully hardy. Our plants will quickly bulk up in the garden or patio planters, they are lovely and bushy already, and most are already cover in buds and bloom. Penstemons are very easy to grow, but we will of course include full growing instructions.
Blooming from late May to November and often longer over semi-evergreen foliage they really are the insomniacs of the plant world - very rarely taking a break from flowering over this period.
Penstemons are attractive to bees, whilst resistant to slugs and other garden pests. They don't mind about soil conditions or if they are in sun or partial shade. Fantastic for beds and borders and containers too, they just have everything, reaching around 60cms tall when in bloom.
Typical plants as supplied are pictured, already full of buds and flowers, wonderfully bushy 9cm pot grow plants, standing around 30-40cms tall right now. These plants are ready to grow and bloom immediately in your garden, and are of course covered by our guarantee too.
