The Comfrey is in vigorous spring growth, so a great time to be gathering and starting to make fertiliser from it. In my own garden I have one plant which I harvest every week or two to make liquid feed from for my own use. But in the college we have such a demand for it that I go for a wee dander now and again to gather a few bags. A handy spot to gather is Inch Island WildFowl reserve, lots of parking, easy to get to and loads of wild Comfrey. (turning beside The Tackle Hut, just up from An Grianan Hotel), go through the gates and its all the way up the left hand side of the path....
