It was wet, windy and a torrid day...but the kids of St Therese Primary are made from hardy stuff and it was going to take more than a bit of rain to stop them planting their new flower beds...
These beds the kids made, cutting, nailing and screwign the planks together and now it was planting time!!
We starting off by making a cake - soil was the sponge, compost the icing and chicken manure the sprinkles....a delightful cake you may add....

in each of the beds we planted a solid block of the one plant, makes it easier to stake, pick and maintain and tit gives far better impact. We planted some Dahlias and some Begonias in the beds
