We had 2 very different days on Saturday and Sunday for the Snowdrop danders at Downhill palace, Saturday was a shocking day....terrible altogether whilst Sunday was a brilliant day of weather.
Ranger John Herbert led a behind-the-scenes walk which took in the gardens at Bishops Gate, the path improvement works, the Stable block, the east and west courtyards (the stable block and courtyards are all normally out-of-bounds for the public), John also covered the improvements being made to the visitor facilities and to the management of the woodlands...

the growth around the gardens was a bit behind last years, (see some pics from 2013 here), with the snopwdrops running a fortnight behind, I'd say thats down to the persistant wet weather which has left the ground colder...
