Brooke park in the centre of Derry has some amazing trees....and no better time to explore the heritage and variety of trees on offer in this urban parkland then during the City of Horticulture 2013
Come join me on a tree themed walk around Brooke Park.
On this walk we'll learn more about the varieties and age of trees within brooke park, some heritage on who and why they were planted, how the non-native trees came to Derry and the importance of mature trees within the landscape of Derry
This event will take place on Saturday 2nd March 2013, from 12-1
This event is free and open to one and all, a donation for charity will be welcomed on the day.
