Wee dander around Belvedere Gardens
Recently I enjoyed a wonderful visit to the gardens of Belvedere House in Mullingar. The reasoning for this was pure chance, on my recent try to Harveys Point Hotel I got chatting to a couple in the gardens from Mullingar and they regaled me with such stories of Belvedere I thought 'I have to go there!'...so a wee 3 hour spin and there I was. Belvedere House is famed for its Follies, Parkland, Terraced Garden and restored walled garden, so there was certainly lots to see. When I was there there were a group of students busy in the walled garden, mulching beds and borders with well rotted manure. Below is a simple slideshow of some of the sights that took my eye.
