Geums are super plants, ideal as a border fronting in any soil - from acid to alkaline they don't care, they dislike having their feet in water so best if the soil is well drained.
Geums flower every summer for months on end if you remove the old flowers. In the North West Regional College we have a small informal hedge planting of Geum Mrs Bradshaw, and these are just starting to come into flower over the past 2 weeks.
We started off with 1 plant, divided this in early spring and these plants are just coming into flower, now we plant to gather some seeds from these and sow these in the coldframe during the winter to build up our stock.
