The group choose Derry as last year Fountain & Leafair Gardens obtained a Runner-up award in the Pride of Place awards and the group were keen to visit these projects, as the judges as described them as 'innovative use of brown field sities'.
Connor from Youth Action NI was keen to come along and discuss how to engage young people in community gardening, and community work in general, and how the garden groups can help mee the needs of young people, and of course how young peoples involvement can help strengthen and develop a strong community buy-in to any project.
