View from the Great Seat to Croughan The stage was set for our first 'VIP Tour' of Oakfield Park in Raphoe. The fabulous Oakfield Park was completely deserted for this complete tour of Oakfield Park in Raphoe. (see details of this event here)
Oakfield Park in Raphoe had been specially opened for our 10am tour (it doesn't normally open until 12noon), and the folks benefited from completely empty gardens...pure horticultural heaven!!
By a complete tour I mean we covered the entire Estate, and saw every sight and spectacle of the gardens....I was delighted to lead this walk, and be able to highlight to others the things that I find cool or interesting around the gardens...a good 3.5 hours of a walk....

It was so quiet that the Black Swans came up to say Good Morning....
Although the weather was fabulous there was just enough wind to create the distinctive sound from the Trembling Aspen at the Tree Circle
